Celebrating the release of Fearless, the illustrated story of Daphne Caruana Galizia.

Stepping into the world of Daphne Caruana Galizia, through the pages of ‘Fearless’ – a new book celebrating her life and work.

Groundbreaking journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia was a pioneer of investigative journalism in her home of Malta. Over the course of her 30 year career, she was noted as one of the most important whistleblowers on corruption and criminal dealings within the Maltese ruling class before her murder in 2017.

‘Fearless: The Story of Daphne Caruana Galizia’ is a new book that explores Daphne’s legacy of fighting for truth and justice; lovingly written and illustrated by her close friend Gattaldo. To discuss the impact of Daphne’s life and the mounting challenges investigative reporters face in Malta and beyond, we welcome Rebecca Vincent of Reporters Without Borders in conversation with author Gattaldo, alongside Daphne’s son and award-winning journalist Paul Caruana Galizia and Caroline Muscat, founder of The Shift News.

This discussion will be live streamed for audiences to watch at home. Click here to book the livestream.

A very limited number of tickets will be available for this event live at Free Word with a small socially distanced audience if the public health situation allows

Fearless: The Story of Daphne Caruana Galizia is published on 8 October 2020.
