INTERNATIONAL TRANSLATION DAY 2018
International Translation Day is back in a brand new format for 2018
Three Things to Learn About Translation
Rahul Bery (Translator in Residence at the British Library), Rebecca May Johnson (The Poettrio Experiment) and Dr Jakob Stougaard-Nielsen (Senior Lecturer in Scandinavian Literature, UCL) will be in discussion with other academics and practitioners about what they’ve learned about translation so far. Expect insights into everything from practicalities to cultural policies, chaired by Theodora Danek.
Accomplished editors Ailah Ahmed (Virago, Little, Brown), Federico Andornino (Weidenfeld & Nicolson) and Isabel Wall (Viking, Penguin Random House) will discuss three translation pitches chosen from your submissions.
Grab a drink from the bar, make use of our handy nametags, and network.
How to Pitch
Please click here for information on how to pitch your project. Please read the participating editors’ bios carefully, and choose one of them to pitch to. If your pitch is picked by the editor, we will let you know before the event. You will be asked to present your pitch live on stage. You can submit your pitch here via the online form.
